Determination of the Transition Probability Matrix for an IoT Fuzzy Security Model

The paper encompasses an approach to determining the basic parameters of a fuzzy model of the information security process in modern Internet of Things systems. The determination of these parameters, i.e. the elements of the transition probabilities matrix (TPM), is performed based on a fuzzy model (a system of modified difference equations of states). In such system, fuzzy knowledge on the behavior of some information security parameters is converted into quantitative values of the elements of this matrix. The transformation is fulfilled on the basis of well-known methods of fuzzy set theory. The results of a computational experiment illustrating the performance of this approach are proposed. The practical implementation of this approach to modeling the information security process in conditions of fuzzy initial data will improve the efficiency of security control of modern Internet of Things systems.
